I like the retro look of the guns and uniform and second Mike's comment on the background; it has a good battlefield aura about it.
The head and blaster bolts contours could use some more definition. I also would have liked to have seen more landscape here, even if he's mid-air. Try panning your camera view and see how that works for you.
Excellent work and thank you for this piece as Rocket Raccoon was, to me at least, one of those unsung comics of the '80's - violent and offbeat but with a depth of story few would have expected.
